A couple of our friends own and run a really delicious little bakery here in Delhi. But not only are they incredibly “sweet” bakers, they’re also incredibly sweet people! They recently opened their first store front over in Greater Kailash II, M-Block market. It’s in a good location and it offers their customers another option for purchasing their pastries aside from home delivery. (You can take a look at all their yummy goodies here: Red Moon Bakery)

Back in November you may have seen on Facebook that I took some family photos for these guys while their parents were in town.

It was my first photo session with a family and I really got a kick out of it. They’re just a hoot to be around and it was so easy getting these awesome candid shots of them together.

Prior to that, and again more recently, I took some photos for their bakery’s website.

Now, if there’s anything I love about foodie blogs and recipe websites, it’s the photos. But food photography comes with it’s own set of challenges that can be incredibly time consuming if you’re not “feelin’ the food” you’re setting up. (No, that doesn’t necessarily mean taste-testing… but hey, you don’t muzzle the ox when he’s treading out the grain, right?)

I still really enjoy being able to do it though and it’s great having the opportunity to flex my creativity muscles! So just for fun, I thought I’d share some of the photos I’ve taken the last couple weeks. (In a future post, I’ll share how I took these pictures using mostly things I already had laying around here in the apartment.)

Here ya go!

These guys run a great bakery here in Delhi and I’m so glad I’ve had the opportunity to help them out by taking some new photos for their business and family!

  1. Of course, we love our family there in Delhi and all the ‘sweet’ stuff that they make. Love your photos too Ashley. We have ‘sweet’ memories of our photography day with you and the family. Thank you for loving us all and especially the bakery. 🙂

    • Thank you Pat. 🙂 I’m so glad we got to meet and visit with you guys while you were here. Hard to believe that 2 months ago you were both in Delhi. Time flies!

      • Glad to meet you two as well Ashley. Perhaps if you settle in the US for awhile we might see you sometime. In the scheme of things two months seems so little time. And yet, on the other hand it seems months since we were in Delhi. Funny thing – time! Great idea for a reality TV show for the Delhi Hambly’s. Will keep a watch for it on our TV – 🙂

  2. Who else things Ashley is the best thing since white bread…. I do!! Thanks for all the pics and everything else for that matter toots, you are awesome!

    • Haha, you betcha. I only wish you guys had your own reality TV show to capture all the REALLY good stuff on film. It should be called something like “Delhi vs. The Hambly’s”.
